Privacy policy

Last updated: 27 May 2026

transhalt AG takes the protection of your personal data seriously. This privacy policy explains which data we process when you visit this website, for what purpose, and what rights you have. It is issued in accordance with the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP, in force since 1 September 2023) and — where applicable — the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Controller

The party responsible for the processing of personal data collected on this website is:

transhalt AG
Splügenstrasse 6
8002 Zürich, Switzerland
E-mail: info@transhalt.ch

Please direct any data-protection enquiries to the address above.

2. Principles

We process personal data in good faith, lawfully, proportionately, and only for the purpose for which it was collected. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard the security of your data.

3. Hosting and delivery of the website (Vercel)

This website is hosted and served by Vercel, Inc. (440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA), acting as our data processor. When a page is requested, Vercel processes the technical access data required to operate the platform — in particular the IP address, the time of the request, the URL requested, and information about the browser and operating system. This processing serves to operate the platform and to defend against abuse.

We do not operate our own server logs and do not run any analytics tools. The retention of the technical access data is governed solely by Vercel's policies and is short-term. Further information is set out in Vercel's privacy policy.

Transfers to the United States are based on appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework).

4. Contact form and e-mail enquiries

When you send us a message via the contact form or by e-mail, we process the information you provide (name, company, country, e-mail address, message) for the purpose of responding to your enquiry and, where appropriate, initiating a business relationship.

Delivery of these messages to our business inbox is handled by Resend, Inc. (USA), acting as our data processor. Transfers to the United States are based on appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework).

Contact enquiries are generally retained in our inboxes for 24 months and deleted thereafter, unless a statutory retention obligation or a legitimate interest (e.g. an ongoing business relationship) requires longer retention.

5. Spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)

To protect our contact form from automated submissions, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, a service provided by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). Turnstile verifies that the input originates from a natural person. In doing so, it transmits technical characteristics of your browser and your IP address to Cloudflare. According to Cloudflare, the service does not set tracking cookies and does not resell the data collected. Further information: Cloudflare privacy policy.

6. Media delivery (Cloudflare R2)

Images and videos on this website are delivered through Cloudflare R2, a content-delivery service operated by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). When a file is requested, your IP address is transmitted to Cloudflare for technical reasons.

7. Cookies

This website does not set tracking or analytics cookies of its own. Cloudflare Turnstile may use storage strictly necessary for its spam-protection function. We do not use any other tracking, web analytics services (such as Google Analytics) or advertising networks.

8. Disclosure to third parties

We disclose your personal data to third parties only:

  • to the processors named in this policy (Vercel, Resend, Cloudflare), and only to the extent required;
  • where you have given your explicit consent, or where a statutory duty of disclosure exists;
  • to safeguard our legitimate interests, in particular to enforce legal claims.

9. International data transfers

Some of the processors named above are established outside Switzerland or the EEA, in particular in the United States. In these cases, the transfer is based on mechanisms recognised by the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) — Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the Swiss-US or EU-US Data Privacy Framework — and we ensure that an adequate level of data protection is in place.

10. Your rights

Subject to the conditions of applicable law, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we process about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data deleted or anonymised;
  • restrict the processing;
  • object to the processing;
  • receive or transfer your data in a commonly used format (data portability, where applicable).

Please direct such requests to info@transhalt.ch. We may request appropriate proof of identity.

If you believe that the processing of your personal data violates applicable data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

11. Data security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access or alteration. Communications with this website are encrypted (HTTPS/TLS).

12. Changes to this policy

We may amend this privacy policy at any time to reflect changes in our processing activities or in the legal framework. The current version published on this page applies.
